Kathleen has always had a strong passion for helping others. She takes time collaborating with her patients to ensure that top-level care is provided in creating an effective treatment plan to meet their goals. She uses her intuitive touch coupled with various techniques to target specific areas of concern including: myofascial release, trigger point therapy, passive stretching, joint mobilizations and cupping.

Kathleen is a graduate from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and has experience in multiple clinic settings including the Maternity and the Palliative Care wards at MGH Hospital and the Multiple Sclerosis and the Pregnancy clinics at Sutherland-Chan. Kathleen volunteered for the Toronto Marathon / Triathlon and Bay Street Hoops tournament, providing pre and post-event care to the athletes. Her experience was so rewarding that it led her to become a supervisor for future RMTs at various volunteer events.

Outside of work, you could find Kathleen walking her dog, listening to music or watching the latest dramas or thrillers.

After completing a Bachelor of Physical Health & Education from the University of Toronto, I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Rehabilitation Sciences. After spending a year working as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in Toronto, I ventured off to the University of Sydney for a Master of Physiotherapy in 2016. Upon becoming a physiotherapist, I worked in Sydney at the highest level of professional rugby league (NRL) as a physiotherapist for 3 seasons. I was fortunate to be the head physiotherapist for the Canterbury Bulldogs NSWRL Cup team for 2020, and the Toronto Arrows R.F.C. in Major League Rugby (MLR) in 2022-23.

From the past 7+ years working as a physiotherapist clinically, I have gained invaluable experience working at various capacities with top level amateur to professional basketball, rugby, hockey, figure skating, volleyball, tennis, track and field, soccer, football, Australian Football League, and cross-fit athletes. While working in private practice clinics, I’ve developed a keen interest in post-operative rehabilitation, athletic performance training, and various sports injuries.

Utilizing the resources at Invictus Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre, it would be my pleasure to assist and guide you in your post-operative rehabilitation, fitness journey or in maximizing your sporting performance!

Whether you are training for your next race, getting back to the gym after an injury, or simply trying to move and feel better, I love helping people build confidence in their bodies and get back to doing what they enjoy most. Drawing from both clinical experience and my own background in sport, I am particularly equipped to work with people of all levels pursuing activities such as powerlifting, running, hiking, triathlon, calisthenics, ultimate frisbee, golf, skiing, and Muay Thai.

My treatment approach is contemporary, evidence-informed, and individualized. I combine progressive exercise prescription with hands-on manual therapy techniques to improve pain, function, and performance in both the short and long term. With a strong foundation in research, I stay current with the latest developments in physical rehabilitation to provide clients with up-to-date education and care related to injury recovery, pain management, performance optimization, injury prevention, and return to sport or activity.

I also have a particular interest in neurorehabilitation which has taken me abroad, including to Switzerland where I explored innovative neurological implant technologies for spinal cord injury and Parkinson’s disease.

Outside the clinic, I have always been passionate about sport and movement and have shared that passion through coaching with the Toronto Ultimate Club’s junior programs.

I’d be thrilled to meet you where you are and to support you on your way to meeting your activity and performance goals!
